A charity run was held on the occasion of the Powerman event carried out in Zofingen. The underlying idea was to help by participating in sport. A Siegfried running team took part in the event. In mild temperatures, 21 well trained and highly motivated runners in Siegfried blue started the 5-kilometer run at 4:00 p.m.. All participants successfully mastered the demanding track at different speeds and in varying running styles. After finishing the run, they exchanged experiences while enjoying a beverage.
Powerman Zofingen is considered the best-known and toughest duathlon in the world while also being regarded a world championship. Consequently, the integrated charity run benefits from an exclusive atmosphere. Donations serve a good purpose, as the net proceeds will be given to organizations worthy of support. This year, 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Swiss Muscular Dystrophy Association. The association connects patients, family members and parents of children suffering from muscular dystrophy with professionals in the field.
